Memorial Hall- Winter Walking Fun

Tuesday, February 5th, 2008

Although the well marked walking trail is great for most seasons of the year, when the temperature dips below zero most people prefer to walk inside. Every morning Monday through Friday a group of men met at 8:30 in the mall for coffee and toast some just coffee. After we have discussed local, state, and national news we walk over to the hall for some exercise. The key for us to leave the mall is when Stanley Haagenson shows up generally between 9:15 and 9:30 and then Frank Boucher leads us over for our daily routine. We walk between and around tables as many as five to six deep for a period of thrity minutes. Of course we chose to continue to rehash local and world problems as we walk. Some days we are lucky when Sue Nelson and Jewel Honsey join us while walk. They being a little younger then we are basically walk circles around us even so we enjoy the company. Don, Jay, Eldore, Stanley, Gary, Frank and on Thursdays Kathy AnklamĀ  extends an open invitaion to walk with us. So come and walk with us. You’ll feel better if you do.

All For Christ Youth Group- Banquet

Tuesday, February 5th, 2008

On February 10th A Valentine’s Banquet is being held at the Rolette Memorial Hall. To reserve your table for 5, 6, or 7:00 P.M. contact Pastor Joel Davis for ticket information. The meal isĀ  a four course candle light fine dining evening. With steak and shrimp featured as the main course. Joann Martinson will play the piano throughout the evening. The All For Christ Youth Group uses the money to help fund various events throughout the year. Some of the funds will be used to take the youth to Sonshine Festival in Wilmar, Minnesota, a christian music festival that has been going on for 20 years. Other monies will be used to fund Bible study materials and snacks to eat at youth sponsored events. The community of Rolette has been very generous in supporting youth activities. Because of the great support the group has received, they have given back monies to the community through the Community’s New Year’s Eve Party and the Super Bowl Party. RADA has jumped on board to be part of them also. The tickets are going fast but if you wish to purchase any Pastor Joel Davis and the youth group will be happy to sell you some.
