Rolette holds traditional Memorial Day Program
Tuesday, May 27th, 2008The Rolette Dethman-Armstrong American Legion Post held a very nice program to commemorate the Memorial Day Holiday. A brief ceremony at the Memorial Hall included presenting the colors, singing the Star Spangled Banner, America the Beautiful, guest speaker and a roll call of all the local veterans who have passed away. The program then moved to the Rolette Cemetery for another brief ceremony and a 21 gun salute to honor the veterans who have nobly served our country. This was followed by a pot-luck meal back at the Memorial Hall.
It is very important that we take time to remember those who have served our country to protect the liberties we enjoy and honor the sacrifices that they have made on our behalf.
